RealClearPolitics - Desperate Clinton is Danger to the Party

Clinton's sin isn't racism, it's arrogance. From the beginning, the Clinton campaign has refused to consider the possibility that Obama's success was more than a fad. This was supposed to be Clinton's year, and if Obama was winning primaries, there had to be some reason that had nothing to do with merit. It was because he was black, or because he had better slogans, or because he was a better public speaker, or because he was the media's darling. This new business about white voters is just the latest story the Clinton campaign is telling itself about the usurper named Obama.

"It's still early," Clinton said Wednesday, vowing to fight on. At some level, she seems to believe the nomination is hers. Somebody had better tell her the truth before she burns the house down.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

It seems that if Hillary can't be the Democratic Nominee, the Party is at fault for not seeing that she is the better candidate. Her personal political ambition and the possibility that Bill promised her the Presidency has made Ms. Clinton become irrational, desperate and spiteful. Her last comments(She and not Obama can get the white working class votes) aired on MSNBC last night, was a damaging statement against Americans of all ethnic groups. It amounted to a conviction by her that whites will not vote for a black politician(if Obama can be classified as black). She must have known that she is saying that the major base of her Party is racist and that Americans vote on the basis of racial preferences. She could have mentioned that despite she and Bill being white they have been getting majority support from Blacks and Hispanic Americans throughout their careers. As a result White working class Democrats should in return support a black Democratic candidate.Hillary could have said that despite Obama being bi-racial, he is getting large amounts of support from Whites and that Whites make up the majority numbers of his support compared to his black support. But like her and Bill in previous contests Obama is getting large support from Blacks which makes the critical difference in victory of defeat for the Democrats. She is in fact not only insulting the intelligence of voters and putting down Non White politicians in terms of their appeal but is declaring that her white working class party colleagues vote on the basis of race. When we look back at the history of the Clinton's campaign one wonders if race baiting was not an integral part. Remember Bill in SC about Jesse Jackson.Gov. Rendell that whites in PA not ready to vote a black candidate. Ms. Ferraro that Obama would not have reached so far if he was not black(Affirmative Action). What a Shame and Disgrace from a Politician who has received so much Love, Loyalty and Support from non white voters throughout her and her husband's career.
